Phase 1: Quick call to check fit (15-45mins)

A few questions to get to know you and an opportunity for you to ask clarifying questions. Allow 45mins, but the aim is for this to be 15-30mins.

Phase 2: In depth walk through of your experience & portfolio (1.5hr mins+)

Walk through your journey to this point, the different roles/projects you have had and your experiences with them. I’ll be asking lots of questions to help direct the conversation, you don’t need to prepare anything, just be ready to share your story and use your portfolio to help bring that to life.

Phase 3: Whiteboarding session & take-home Design Challenge

You will be among the final few candidates if you reach this phase. You will be given a design prompt and asked to design a new feature/flow. It will be relevant to Moonsift’s mission to be the best place for style-conscious shoppers to make decisions online.

  1. Whiteboarding session to understand, define and ideate on possible solutions
  2. Take away the challenge to think further on the problem/solution and flesh out a concept/idea/flow so it could be put in front of potential users and other product team members for early feedback.

Phase 4: Design walkthrough and final questions

  1. Walk through your design from Phase 3: Answer questions about how you got to certain decisions, hypotheses, open question and anything that would need to be validated.
  2. Meet the rest of the product team, the people you would be working closely with (CTO, Lead Engineer, Lead ML Engineer). Chance for you and them to ask questions.

Referencing

If you reach phase 3 it would be helpful if you could supply your list of references at that time to speed up the process. We would ideally like the option of 3 previous managers/clients and 3 previous teammates to contact.
